I have to say, I was home (Baton Rouge) this past weekend, and I made a comment while tailgating about how I never noticed the percentage of overweight people in Louisiana until I moved....then I proceeded to eat a giant plate of jambalaya and alligator sausage.

But I am not overweight by any stretch of the imagination, so I can eat stuff like that and it not be an issue. It really does astound me how people can become obese (not overweight, I'm talking about disgusting ham-hock kankles obese) and not hate themselves to the point of making serious life changes.

I haven't lived in the south in two decades and every time I come home and I am completed astounded by the massive herds of fat fricks roaming everywhere. It wasn't like this years ago.

It's not just that. Do you know how much time you have to spend eating to maintain a weight of say 300 lbs? You spend as much time eating as an Olympic athlete trains practically. Ridiculous. Put down the big gulps and go outside for once.

I don't see how people get fat. You literally have to sit on your arse and eat fricking pizza all day to be fat. It's disgusting

Agreed.
Also wish the seats in the south end zone of TS were sold to people who can actually fit in them. Make the fatties sit in the upper deck. They need to walk anyway.

Wow, this defense of fatties gives great insight to where this once great country went wrong.

Not shaming fat people is an insult to our forefathers. Not 40 years ago, a hard working American man believed in a little self responsibility. I've heard people talk about fatness being a disease akin to cancer and alcoholism. What a joke. No wonder this country's social programs have risen 500% in the past decade alone.

If you can't legally discriminate against fat bodies, you should be able to. Fatties don't believe in self responsibility. Bottom line.

I always love talking to people who make statements like this because after about 2 minutes you begin to realize that they have much bigger issues than most of the fat people they're criticizing. It says that they think they're perfect and don't have anything to improve about themselves. Many of them could stand to lose a few pounds themselves.

To the people that openly make these statements, let me give you some great advice:

If you feel the need to criticize someone.....if you're looking to help someone improve, look inward. Go look in the mirror right now and you will find plenty to criticize. There's plenty there that needs work. You're not perfect either, a-hole.

I'm a 40/yr old father of two, that's been married 15 years. I'm about 6ft maybe 165/lbs
When one daughter is a soccer practice, twice a week, I go running on the trail through the park. When my other daughter is not at Girl Scouts we go ride our bikes.

We like to stop and make a small fresh salad at the local Rouses about 3-4 times a week.

I'm not a health nut or fitness guru, it's just that you have to not allow the junk food or terrible eating habits from an early age. Also just get out and move around some, you'd be surprised at how good it makes you feel!

Or we could start out on an even more basic level. Get a fricking job and keep it.

That's a bigger problem in today's society (no pun intended). The lazy asses who sponge off of the government drawing unemployment, Medicaid, welfare, and a fresh handicap tag hanging on the rear view mirror. All with an able body.

Well what do you expect when all you eat is popeye's fried chicken, corndogs and cauldrons of gumbo and boudin?

Yalls some fat asses in Louisiana.
