Am I the only one that isn't outraged by this?
They are the news and they need to get sources from somewhere. What else are they supposed to do?
The girl was tweeting for gods sake. I seriously doubt she was tweeting while she was in imminent danger. They all said they hope she's ok.
I mean, its not the nicest thing in the world, but this doesn't piss me off as much as having race baiting headlines and writing "BREAKING NEWS" when some guy wants to cut his dick off.

It's just indicative of the times. Apparently "Kayla Marie" felt that the most rational and important thing to do in the middle of a mass shooting was report on the events via Facebook. SHE took the first step in seeking attention (of whatever nature that may be)
It's the networks' job to report on newsworthy events. They are trying to accomplish that by speaking with someone who obviously has a story she wants to report. Otherwise this chick wouldn't be posting to facebook during a mass shooting.

Concerning people posting at outrageous times, the other day I saw a reply to a post on FB from a friend of mine to someone I don't know. The woman I don't know posted that she just returned home to find her 2 month old not breathing. The paramedics were there and she was pronounced dead, and that they were waiting on the priest to give her last rights. Who the hell thinks of FB at a time like?

Our society is patterned to attention-whore. People don't do it in tragedy to make a spectacle of themselves, they simply don't know how else to respond to an event.
I've seen it recently with tragedy in my own family. The FB posting was so over the top by those closest to the person who died that I was just constantly amazed. But, I eventually realized that that was just how those people reacted to everything, why wouldn't they continue their practices when things got tough.
Of course, I do disagree with it quite a bit, but I think it's all they know.

I guess you guys just think these news reports were all hooked on, developments and eyewitness accounts come out of nowhere?
I mean call me devils advocate but anyone who has thought it through at all shouldn't be surprised by something like this. Not saying I agree with it at all, but they are doing their job
