Our cleaning team (they are awesome) brings in their own vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies. By the time they get to our house, they already smell like disinfectant.

I'm sure they are safe.

But they told us that they will be suspending service for a couple of weeks. I felt bad for our cleaning ladies. One of them has a door dash gig and delivered CFA to our house yesterday -so they are still out there earning pay.

I'm staying my arse put, inside my fortress. But, I'm spending on the local economy nearly to the point of profligacy (getting shite delivered)!

For all these small, local businesses I enjoyed before this plague, I want them to survive and this, too! If you value your house keepers, keep'm paid when they need it the most.

I had a similar problem yesterday.
The maid and the cook showed up on schedule. We had expected that, but do did the butler and chauffeur who didn’t get our message not to come. Along with my personal secretary and the Mrs. personal trainer that put us over the ten person limit. Having two kids, a BIL and MIL staying with us makes a crowd.
Well after a prolonged discussion the situation was resolved. The Mrs. made me and my BIL walk over to the course to play 18. That didn’t go over well. No caddies and No 19th hole.
Tough times.

Good move.

We are also ordering take out when we would have otherwise gone out to eat. Everything from the chains (Bar Louie, CFA, CAne's) to the local restaurants are in the rotation.

I'm not going to intentionally stop patronizing businesses that provide good products/services just because of the hysteria out there.

We paid ours to stay home. Nanny's salary stays the same; even though she'll probably work 1/2 days for the next month.
