Posted in another thread but thought it merited its own.

The Cajun Navy drove slmost all night from Terrebonne Parish to Katy (technically, they said they slept two hours at a WalMart in the Woodlands), brought over 165 gallons of fuel for their airboat and asked for nothing more than directions and a place to launch. The pilot was an alligator fisherman named John.

All I can say is thanks. Long after we were rescued, they were still rescuing others.

May God bless the Cajun Navy!

I'm supporting them because they supported me, my family, my retired neighbor and his cancer stricken wife who were staying with us upstairs, three dogs, two cats, and a fish named Glubsworth.

Tonight at a Best Western in Nacadogches. Tagging along with my brother on his way back to LA. Having to take a circuitous route due to Harvey and road closures.

First floor had about a foot of water from Barker Reservoir. My car flooded and likely my wife's van. Will likely retreat to friends on the Northshore, try to get some wheels (maybe rental for now), and see what kind of arrangements I can secure in Katy.

Haven't heard what KISD plans are. Thinking my youngest's school (Beck) flooded.

Glad you are safe.

Hoping for the best for you.

They got their start around here. The area around my house sounded like an air boat park last year.

Neighbors helping neighbors. Might be next door, might be next state, don't care.

Yep those (racists) are the best.

As for that stupid/ignorant/demented b!tch they referred to, not one of those guys asked about race, religion, color or creed while she sits on her useless arse complaining and helping no one.

My office is closed the rest of the week so I have been watching the local news feeds. The Cajun Navy is doing some amazing work here. Even the Houston police chief did a shout out yesterday.

God damn it. That picture is so stupid, yet so touching. I hate it and love it. I'm a grown arse man. Two cartoon states hugging shouldn't be appealing too me but it is

Who the hell downvotes this?!?! This man is thanking the people who rescued him and his group. I cannot and will never understand someone's mentality that feels the need to downvote a post like this

There was a shout out to the Cajun Navy on a radio station in Georgia this morning! Thank God for those brave and selfless men.

I love this story and I'm so glad you and your family are safe...but the best part is that you have a fish named Glubsworth.
