Apparently only available to military flight qualified personnel.
I have a close friend who’s a USAF pilot. Been thinking about asking him to pick one up.

Vintage AP. I know the date is wrong but it's not a quickset and I wear it rarely

Figured I would resurrect this thread with the OG Black Bay 79220R. Tudor Rose/Smiley Face dial and the modified ETA movement.

Finally
Over a week, its about 10 seconds fast. Somebody did a damn good job on it.

This has been my most frequent daily of late...124270 Explorer, the reboot of the 36 mm. I think Boondock Saint has a version of this old standard reference coming pretty soon from SWE.

I like the textured matte treatment thas Seiko does with a good many of their dive watch bezels. I believe they use that same treatment on the Captain Willard turtles as well.
Great watch, worthy successor to the venerable SKX series

While I agree don't say that out loud in the presence of a Seikopath.

Is it Friday? It feels like Friday. I hope it is Friday!
Something a little more out of the ordinary today a 2004 A. Lange & Sohne Datogragh "Pisa" or "Albino" 403.025X. While I won't bother you with the long acquisition story I do have a thing for white-dialed (in this case silvery white) haute horlogerie chronographs and when I found out about this one it became a quest. 10 of them were made for and sold through the flagship Milan store of Pisa Orologeria. Of the 10 some were made with blued second hands and some were produced with rhodium-plated second hands. Odd for a small edition but likely to satisfy customers. I know of at least 3 with rhodium second hands and mine is one of them. Both fortunately and unfortunately not a unicorn.

Anyone lining up for this atrocity?

I like the slogan.
The timepiece, not so much.

I actually like it. It is busy with the 5712 treatment but remove the moonphase/date, the sub second dial, and move the logo to 6 and I am a fan.
I really like the grande date but if I designed it I would move the date up instead of the 12 marker and move the logo under it leaving off Geneve.
When/if they make a 3-hand version in steel on a bracelet I bet it sells like crazy.

That’s hideous. Give me a Grand Seiko instead

Nice. Is that the Engineer II that is Green Beret co-branded? I don't mind that since there is no mention on the dial, I have a JLC Navy Seals Diver. I think those are titanium, correct?
Posted on 10/13/24 at 7:19 pm to Obtuse1
Correct
Not sure about the titanium, honestly.
I was just looking for a durable, mechanical watch for hiking, outdoor stuff.
Marathon fits the bill also, but i wasn't crazy about their movements.
