Some dude running an oil field buys it and later on, a bunch of assholes with AK-47s show up and steal it. It's not inconceivable to me that a truck can be owned my some guy in Texas and end up in SW Asia.

prolly lots of plumbing work needed in Syria right now. Somebody over there should adopt the name Mark and get to work.

Guy sold to dealer. Dealer brought to Mannheim auction. Probably sold in Lane 1. Lane 1 buyers send all their stuff overseas. And now u know the rest of the story.

Maybe we'll know one day, but I'd put my money on the outcome being that this truck's journey was not very interesting at all.

yeah

vehicles change hands pretty easily

My Dad sold his old Toyota to some local guy a few years ago. The next week, I'm working in southwest Texas, and what do I see? My Dad's truck being towed by a bunch of Mexicans heading south.

Who knows where that badass Toyota 4x4 is now? Probably a drug running truck.

So are thees the good guys or bad guys with the truck? Because it seems that most automatically assume they're terrorists, but they could be the rebels we're giving money.

Something along these lines. Truck was sold at auction and turned into a desert murder box.

That crossed my mind too, but it said at the top of the article that it was an Islamic extremist group.

If course, things are so fricked up in Syria that we might be allying with extremists who are fighting Assad...who knows

So somehow a ~2006 Ford truck finds its way to the other side of the world and armed with a 50cal fighting in the Syrian conflict?

... All with the original decals untouched?
