Yes, I was a submariner. The height restriction when I was in topped out at 6'7".
Only time I would ever hit my head was grabbing food out of the buffet. There was a damn EAB manifold right above the chow. I'd bend down, make my plate, and hit the top of my head with regularity. Other than that, I never had issues besides lowering my head in certain compartments.

I did a girl that was 6'6 once, it was awesome when she was on top but weird doing doggy style. hard to get the angle right. IWHI again though if I got the chance and wasn't married. She was a fine baptist chick from Baylor.

I've never been in a 'modern' submarine. Only the one they have at Battleship Park over in Mobile. I have "confinement issues" and things were pretty tight in there so I didn't stay long.
