Texas migration - why only the triangle?

Everyone wants to move to Texas. They like the conservative values, the warm weather and the freedom that you don’t seem to have in other states. All true.
This migration seems to be centered around the “Texas triangle” I.e DFW, Houston, Austin and San Antonio. Mainly Houston and DFW. These cities offer a lot but are obviously over populated.
There is much more to Texas than the triangle. Why not carve out a new region in Texas? Especially for those California people coming east. El Paso seems to get over looked. It could be much more than it is. All it takes is a migration and word of mouth. That’s why they all came to DFW and Houston. They heard about it. There’s also the valley. Like why can’t that become the next place to be for transplants? Enough with this endless sprawl they’re creating in DFW/HOU
There’s all this damn land and yet everyone’s trying to cram into this triangle that is only a fraction of the entire state.

How about leave the rest of the land alone.

It appears that they want live in or near cities. I would look for a much more rural area.

There is a reason for this.

Dallas, Houston, San Antonia have grass, trees, and water. The further west you go the less of each you have. Maybe people don't want to live in a desert?

That’s what I’m saying. Like why not just go to El Paso and turn it into a legit city like the others? It seems to be the forgotten Texas city. It’s got natural beauty. Just needs some money pumped in there.

Doesn’t seem to bother people in Arizona. Phoenix is a major metro.

Texas should annex Louisiana and develop Baton Rouge and Lafayette into better, bigger versions of themselves with real jobs, better education, and solid infrastructure. Texas would know how to properly use the Mississippi River to its advantage.
Then maybe we can turn our attention to New Orleans and develop it into a world class small city (or at least something that is less embarrassing). And we'll let Arkansas take Shreveport.
They can't have funroe though. Ruston-Funroe should be a combined metro area with major manufacturing, some tech jobs, improved higher ed centered around LaTech, and a better airport.
You know Louisiana can't do any of that itself.

Because 90% of the population is nothing but a basic bitch who likes the shiny objects.
Theyre followers.

If Texas is annexing anything it’s Oklahoma. Let Florida have Louisiana. The southern part at least.

Texas is obviously one of the most important states in the country, but I've never had any desire to move there.

That's fine too. I like Orlando and Tampa.

Well you can have the same generic neighborhoods and strip malls in El Paso or Amarillo that you have in Houston. So what’s the hold up? Most people work remote these days anyway.
Can’t be the lack of pro sports teams. It’s gonna get to point where officials will have to stop considering the metroplexes for new businesses and will look west or north.

Probably because the jobs are in the triangle. People aren’t moving to Texas for the weather or scenery.

When I say everyone I mean everyone that is relocating. Not just random people who have a good set up in their current state.
Mostly California, rust belt and NY people.

People have to move where the jobs are.

Billionares moving business into the attractive cities and building multi family buildings in order to do so.

Have it explode in population and more buildings will surely keep it beautiful. Maybe we can also do miles and miles of suburban sprawl. That will make it even more naturally beautiful.
