But for people who have just graduated from college and are currently single, it’s a terrible place to meet young people. Everything is too spread out and decentralized for there to be a nightlife where young adults can congregate at.

If you can’t find decent nightlife with singles in metro areas with 5 million people, then you aren’t doing it right. Nobody has ever complained about not finding dates because a city is too big.

TW center is 30 min from I-45.

If I-45 were a dagger, TW trust funds are soul.

Nice landscaping though.

The only good thing La has over Texas is the $75,000 homestead exemption. Property taxes are very high in Texas, and can increase significantly each year.

I've met probably 1,000 people just casually in my time here, and only 2 have had Cajun last names

Can’t speak for Houston proper but Montgomery County has Louisiana people all over. I see more Cajun names here than I see in central Louisiana. The Louisiana influence is very strong around here overall. Strong enough to have a Cajun festival in Conroe every year that has guys like Wayne toups performing.

Takes me 14min to get from FM 2978 to I-45…..that’s the entire width of TW.

Downtown is 45min from my house on the west side/Sterling Ridge

I agree

I'm with you - negative is the first place everyone wants to go. I've certainly participated in that at times and here. But just speaking to the topic honestly.

I’ve always liked the design and architecture of housing properties in the Bay Area. They had that futuristic ultra-modern look way back in the 60s and 70s.

The houses in Alamo Square where they shot Full House has always looked super cool.

30 minutes if it is 3a and there are no accidents.

There are some snobby people here but for the most part it is families that are looking for a great neighborhood.

Texas is basically a Bible Belt haven for white evangelical Christian boomers from California who want to flee the state’s political climate. You know, the “dey terk our jerbs!” type. I’m a Catholic and I can’t stand evangelical Protestants. Absolute morons.

Wow….and it’s just Monday. Lol
I grew-up Catholic, now Baptist by choice. It sucks that you feel this way towards other practicing Christians & people that worship differently than you. Prayers for you Baw.
And….you sound like a blast at parties.

I was confused about how one person could be so wrong in a single post then I got to the part about being catholic and hating protestants. If you would have just started with "I'm an unhinged douche" it could have saved some of us the time we lost reading that.

Shitting on Boomers.

Shitting on Protestants.

I feel like you added this to ensure some heated responses.

San Francisco, Boston, and NYC

The food scene in those cities are also infinitely better than anything Dallas, Houston and Austin have to offer.

SF and NYC aren’t exactly fair comparisons, but the food scenes in the TX cities are underrated IMO, especially Houston.

We have only been into Houston once since living here. Been here since September. I’m not exactly certain how long it takes. It didn’t seem to be very bad.

Everyone we have come across, mostly through kids activities has been really welcoming. Nashville area people are nice but it takes a while for them to warm up to you. And they aren’t particularly fun either. It’s like hanging out with a bunch of Kirk Cousins types.
