Don't you know? Life is hard...
Time to protest. My friends on facebook told me so.

1.
HS law teacher?
2. Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District
Another SCOTUS ruling that could apply here.
Tinker Test
If the student failed to stand prior and it was allowed then only after it became a disruption punished the student then the school may have a case.
Sounds like the school allowed it until it just became a distraction
Just playing devils advocate here....

It’s hilarious watching all the conservatives get bent out of shape about something a socialist wrote.

Next step will be rounding up all the Jehova's Witnesses for not standing or saying the pledge or standing for the National Anthem.
These screwballs are climbing a slippery slope. Better to leave such shite alone and let that ONE person alone.

Francis Bellamy was a socialist Baptist minister?
Posted on 9/26/18 at 9:18 pm to Catman88
“The Pledge of Allegiance was written in August 1892 by the socialist minister Francis Bellamy (1855-1931). It was originally published in The Youth's Companion on September 8, 1892. Bellamy had hoped that the pledge would be used by citizens in any country.”
original form it read:
"I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
In 1923, the words, "the Flag of the United States of America" were added.
It wasn’t till the 50s that under god was added.
Somehow this nation survived and thrived without acknowledging god.

You folks that keep saying this nonsense... let me ask you this:
Why should we allow schools to compel kids to say the pledge...in a country where the government can’t compel anyone to say anything? We don’t even make criminals say things when they don’t want to.
How do you reconcile that?

Its really a disservice to the people who died to defend the right to disagree and freedom of expression.
Ehh, I think as kids guidelines and rules should be followed. Schools have dress codes and other rules that keep you from expressing yourself.

This country is full on retarded.

She'll also be facing a very conservative supreme court. One member of which is getting torched right now using the guise of "free speech"

Wrong. Completely wrong.
And those conservatives aren’t going to support it.

The Pledge was written by a socialist who wanted all children to pledge fealty to the state. There's nothing conservative about forcing someone to recite a declaration to prove their patriotism.

Yep, I felt my nazi coming out in me saying the pledge back in school. That 15 seconds of saying the pledge every morning was traumatic.

It wasn't traumatic, but it was certainly meaningless to 99.9% of students.

Lots of things are meaningless.
Why is patriotism such an evil thing now?
People are assholes with too much free time.

Unconsitutional. She had the right not to say the Pledge or stand up. Jehovah Witnesses and Amish don’t.

And yet it is conservatives melting over those who don’t.
That is the funny part.

Texas High School expels student for not reciting pledge
Texas hates freedom. frick that principal. Why the frick do these arse hole make someone recite a pledge every morning. If you pledge to something once you shouldn't have to do it every day of your educational career. The pledge has not stopped one single person from committing treason against America. Hell the same cousin frickers on here that detest people who "hate america" are the same ones who fly the flag of a group of people who separated themselves from the Union. I hate hypocrisy with a passion.
