Wherever this dude moved is likely safer than most places in Mexico. Mexico is a cartel run shithole. Panama, while not perfect, is NOT. This makes a huge difference,

crime was objectively worse in the 70s, 80s, 90s when parents would let kids go outside unsupervised until it was dark

I dont know much about Amarillo TX but the parents most likely have gotten caught by the media scaring them.

Funny enough I’m about 90% sure the Russian family was also from Amarillo or somewhere near by. That is pretty damn odd.

If you already have money I’m not sure what the point of staying in America really is. It might be the best place to make money but it sure ain’t the best place to spend it.

In the family that moved to russias case, pretty sure the dad overheard that his daughter was taught something about lesbians in school, so he pulled them out and moved to Russia.

Wonder what happened in this case.
