quote:This and the whip is all we have as to the reasoning for the racist claim.
“We spoke with a group of kids that walk home with a 9-year-old, as well as my daughter, and the entire group,” the father shared. “The 9-year-old kid was saying rude things to the group of kids.”
Carissa Nash said the boy shouted out racial slurs to the other kids.
The racial slur claim essentially comes from their children.
So they have the whip and statements from their children. So far anyway.
You guys can decide for yourself.

but i thought it was impossible for them to have crossed paths after school yet a racial slur was heard by the kids?

No idea. Seems very confusing. I’m guessing they’re talking about the daughter.
And my apologies. Apparently other kids besides their own made the statements to them according to the Nash’s.
I would like to hear from those kids parents, but we probably never will.

i had a whip as a kid that my dad brought back as a souvenir from Mexico. it was my only "weapon", and i'd go around trying to crack it on things, try to hit birds flying through the air, try to hit lizards, etc.
it's not very likely the 9yr old kid understood the "racial undertones". it's much more likely he's got some sort of anger or mental issues, and this was his only "weapon" he had access to.
by hey, the 2022 push for all things white supremacy is obviously on, so let's go ahead and make any story about any white/black interaction viral to cue up that outrage. it's vitally important that everyone hates each other before they go vote.

I also had a whip as a child. I used to play Indiana Jones.
That alone doesn’t say anything imo. But the children stating they heard racial slurs coupled with it is the key.
But the article is confusing. It says
So far i think all we know for sure is, a white kid got into it with a group of black kids. No idea who instigated it or why.
We know that the white kid went to the Nash’s home with a whip.
We also know the white kids dad is a moron.
So decide how you want. But the white kids dad hurts this more than anything. He proves their family is at the very least, complete trash.

Years back in McKinney, TX when that cop tackled the girl, this board went insane calling the entire town a racist cesspool.
Do you have selective memory? That's not at all what happened in that thread.
The consensus in that thread seemed to be that the cops had a right to break up the party and get people to leave, but the one cop who tackled the girl was a dumbass. There's very little, if any talk, about what you are claiming about McKinney. Maybe you are confusing the OT thread with stuff on Reddit.
Read for yourself. Thread on McKinney incident

seeing a couple of posts reminds me that I had a whip at around that age, maybe a couple of years younger, almost positive it was from Six Flags, for whatever reason they were kind of popular back then, but having anything to do with racism could not be farther from the truth

I originally thought this was a Bee article by the outrageous headline.

I’ll try to look through that particular thread when I can, but I definitely got into on here with a few people who were attacking McKinney. It was a long time ago though and I’m not sure what thread it was in.
It was all I focused on because I was pissed my city was being dragged through the mud.
There were black people who came out and spoke to the media defending the city. It was getting slammed on social media. It was a rough time there.
But I will try to look through that specific thread when I can.
ETA: unfortunately, this is a common occurrence in cities where events like this happen. I got to see it first hand and it was brutal.

I don't know if I can believe this. This sounds like something Democrats would stage. The story just sounds too stupid to believe.

Whip by itself is not proof of racism. Forms of it are used as weapons even on tv & movies. Wasn’t a racist or BDSM exclusive (would be funny if kid found it in a box in parents’ closet). I remember trying to use one as a kid to hit a target, wrap end around target, or just make the sound, but I pretty much just broke stuff, hurt arm, almost took my eye out, got in trouble, and never saw it again.
The kids actions at house including car & door and definitely the dad at house seem more like sociopaths. I doubt dad has confined actions to just black people.
It should be in the news, but I don’t jump to racism because of whip. Doorbell looks strange, but more importantly why was he looking for daughter? Was this normal? Did they hang out some & were friendly, or was he a bullying her? There has to be more known about that relationship and the father & son’s interactions with others before racism comes in based on report.
Black people argue & fight, white people argue & fight, but when one is black & one is white racism is automatically assumed in negative interactions instead of just people not getting along or some people being jackasses. It’s racist to think blacks and whites cannot have negative interactions based on only what the individuals involved bring to it.
Again The dad seemed like a jackass & sociopath and glad they arrested him for accidental discharge. The kid could be heading there, but there has to be more to story about the 2 kids interactions in past before this.

Must be sad to think everything is racism. Sounds like a mental illness in need of medical treatment. That black male thinking this brings this attitude into every interaction with white people creating the negative interactions they then attribute to racism instead of their own shitty attitudes.

The Nashes, who have made multiple somewhat inconsistent social media posts about why the boy was at their door, say it all started because the upset boy claimed he got into a fight with the couple’s 13-year-old son — although another narrative says it was their 9-year-old daughter — while he was coming home from school. The couple contends it would have been impossible for the son to be involved because the two minors attend separate schools. “The kid claimed as he was walking home and was jumped by our son,” Dee Nash said online. “Our son is 13 years old. He gets out of school two hours after the 9-year-old gets out of school. So there’s no way our son could have touched or even seen this 9-year-old kid.”
Outside of videos it’s getting into a lot of he said/she said crap. Did they also show up to show the dad the video and start filming from the start? If first time to talk to dad I am not thinking someone really wants to resolve something neighborly if that is the case. Strange if they don’t have anything else if they video aggressively like this.
At least possibility of existing issues with both their kids & either the 13 year old black son or the 9 year old black daughter jumped the 9 year old white boy first the day of doorbell video, but they jump right to claiming racism when 9 year old shows up to door with a whip(riding whip???) after being jumped by their kids. In my experience growing up and since with own kids black kids are more likely to start pointing out race and bringing race into situations even if innocently, joking, and/or if according to liberals they can’t be racist.
Assuming white kid started racial stuff in the past just because he is white is ignorant, but It’s more likely every parent thinks there kid is an angel. Safer for others to assume they have at bias towards own kids and leave racism out until objectively & reasonably proven. It also seems like they would have started to document just like doorbell and going to talk to the father and just not as clear cut as video they released knowing there was more history behind situation. Kids fight. Real issue lost and not solved (or even issue created) when jumping to racism first.
