Apparently JJ hates masks as much as me and most of the men of the OT.

During an interview with Pro Football Talk this week, Watt made it clear that skipping the season would be an option for him if he has to wear a protective face shield. Apparently, the Texans pass-rusher once wore a visor over his helmet early in his career and he hated it so much that he doesn't ever plan on doing it again.
quote:
"My second year in the league I thought it'd be cool, I put a visor on my helmet," Watt said Wednesday. "I was like, 'It looks so cool, I wanna put a visor on.' I had it on for about three periods of practice and I said, 'Take this sucker off I'm gonna die out here.' ... So now you're gonna put something around my mouth? You can keep that. If that comes into play, I don't think you're gonna see me on the field."

King of cringe, but such a good guy.
How long until he apologizes for having the wrong opinion?

JJ and Brees take turns changing each other tampons.

So the general public isn't allowed to complain about masks in our workplace, but millionaire football players are allowed to throw tantrums about face coverings in their workplace? I, for one, am absolutely shocked.

frick the NFL either way.

Just cancel pro football this year. The NFL deserves it.

JJ Watt is washed up and has played half of his teams games in 4 years

If they force players to wear masks on the field, they’ll be dropping like flies from HS to the pros. Especially in the south.

Yup, waiting until he gets traded and we can sign others who actually play.

Good for him for at least not bowing down to this bullshite.

Don't care for Watt but I can see how playing football in a mask would be fricked up

You have the option to quit. Which is what he is suggesting.

Body armor and a Kevlar helmet suck too but they are the uniform of men.

I hope one day I'm financially secure enough to tell my boss these kinds of things
Eta: the people I know who are secure enough to speak their minds seem to always excel. Maybe we should all just do it.

I mean, he’s already rich enough to not miss a season’s paycheck. I wouldn’t throw away that much for an inconvenience but good for him for (not) putting money where his mouth is.

LOL. He said nothing about giving up his millions.
It's not the same rules for the peasantry.
