Because our president has done very little for the American public to believe that he views ISIS as a threat. He essentially said as much when he claimed ISIS wasn't an existential threat yesterday, you know the same day his administration was pushing the workplace violence narrative.
Instead he used it to claim we need more gun laws. The dude is out of his element and out of touch.

That's the equivalent of saying in 2005, “eh, Louisiana and Mississippi governors gave speeches after Betsy and Camille, no need to address or mention Katrina ever.“ and then being totally content with no politicians ever addressing the hurricane or its destruction. A plan to move past it, or a plan to help those affected. No big deal. People have spoken before.
