I'm betting he will do that. Just took 48 hours to make sure the leader of the free world did not leap to a rash conlcusion.
Things would be a lot better if he had ripped out and called it terrorism before it was confirmed, right? That's what many folks were shouting for.
Damn it. If only he had called this yesterday, before the facts were in, we would give hm credit for doing something prematurely. Right?

A terrorist attack occurred in his watch. Not only is he ignoring his fundamental obligation as the president of this country to address the citizens he was elected to lead, he has either completely ignored the situation or used it to push bullshite policies that would only be constitutional if done in one very specific way.
He has failed as a leader on this one. He has on most occasions, but this one ranks near or at the top.

You'd think being able to unite the country in a time where it should happen naturally anyway would be a slam dunk. The problem comes when uniting the country is antithetical to your goal.

So he's an idiot and should shut up? Yet many seem to beg for him to speak and soothe their soul.
I'm not sure what he could say where folks would say, "that sounds reasonable. I'm grateful the leader of our country said that. I'm not going to complain about that."

At the very least, convince us that he cares. Tell us that his only response to Islamic terrorism isn't going to be the continued effort to restrict a constitutional right. Tell us that he plans to address the real root of this evil, radical Muslims that are fighting a war against us while we battle the evils of racist statues and global warming.
He has a responsibility to do this, and based on his history, quite frankly I have no confidence that he even gives a shite. At the very least, he needs to prove that he can act like a fricking world leader. Act like being accused of having patriotism wouldn't offend him.
