As harsh as it sounds, you're right. It's tough because you have families. But the men need to send the women and children out and stay home and fight. You can't expect another country to do it for you because culture trumps everything. You have to make a stand and, dare I say it, tell the terrorists "Don't tread on me.

I want so badly to disagree with that, since you're a Nole. But I can't.

People do need to pull their heads out of their asses on taxes. The government says were paying in the 30's because FICA, FUTA and Medicare are entitlements. However, they're using those funds to cover their budget needs. We are much closer to Europe than people want to admit.

I don't think we'll do much of anything about it, and we'll continue as planned taking however many refugees in as we can.

I was wondering why other ME countries aren't taking them all in? Why rely on other people to come suck them up? Maybe they have an inside line on what's gonna happen if they do

They don't head to those countries because they aren't going to get entitlements on arrival like they do in Europe nor will they most likely be granted employment of any kind.

I'm sure we can draw parallels to our own immigration issues here.

Speaking of taxes, charitable donations are still tax deductible. Go help out. LINK /
