The only thing gun free zones do is deter law abiding gun carrying citizens from bringing guns into them. I can see one exception with bars having a gun free zone. But it doesn't make sense at most other places.

New Orleans: 39.61 murders per 100,000 people.
Paris: 1.0 murders per 100,000 people *not including these attacks, obviously

Yeah, maybe i dont... But Sandy Hook, Aurora, etc victims would tell you that you dont have the answers either.

SOMETHING has to change. Gun free isn't the answer. But no way some of these psychopaths should have access to high caliber weaponry either. I'm not sure how anyone can disagree with that.

Because conservatives without any sense of the social or political context in France want to make an issue out of a tragedy, that's why.

there is no solution to preventing mass casualties by completely insane lone wolf-types who are prepared to die

the most effective strategy is to silence victims' families and prevent the media from dispersing information about the incidents

It's not that easy to compare. Education and poverty play a huge part in it. Besides, NOLA has never been a peaceful city. Guns didn't all of a sudden make it this way.

Been seeing comments on social media since last night. One of my in-laws posted that this is an example of why all responsible gun owners should carry whenever possible.

Of course, I didn't comment, but my thought was "OK, Rambo."

Theres a pretty massive difference in the demographic make up of Paris and New Orleans as well, this isn't really comparing apples and apples.

Granted, but the point is that Paris has a very low murder rate for such a major city. I take that as evidence on its face that their gun control policy works.

France's ground forces could probably take out ISIS on their own if they wanted. I wish they would.

Anyone desiring to defeat an enemy has to have the resolve to go all in. Break shite and kill people are the only. No country since WWII seems to have this resolve.

As far as those embedded within other country's borders such as Europe (really bad in most countries) and our own, we are going to have to push the SJWs aside and take to seriously rooting out any bad actors. If most European countries do this they will have the equivalent of a civil war.

That's only a quick fix. The ultimate goal of the muslim community is to slowly take over ever nation and eventually the world by infiltrating and gaining power. Eventually they use that power to replace that nation's laws with sharia law. (That will surely get the SJW's panties in a wad!!) Only the controls that Japan, China and Russia have on muslims will work.

To do that we would have to go against our own 1st amendment.

there is no way to prevent it other than what i listed. that's the only thing that has been shown to slow these attacks down

I would hope that we could all agree, at the very least, that the probability of one of these attacks occurring is unrelated to gun control policy.

Idk what the solution is, other than to find a resolution to the Syria situation. I believe they are currently working on that in Vienna as we speak.

We could spend a century doing this in the ME and we would never succeed
