Your response would be correct if those countries didn't already allow hundreds of thousands of potential terrorists into their countries. Too late for a defensive strategy. IS is bringing the fight to them.

IS and most radical Muslims believe that their scripture tells them a western military force will clash with the caliphate on a battlefield outside of raqqa. They belive this is the end of the world and the prophet will return after that battle.
Why not assemble a force on that battlefield, call them out, kick their arse, and show them that their prophet isn't coming. What better way to destroy their propaganda?

Spanish press says over 100 wounded, and when the death toll was 77, 16 were between life and death. They´re were the 80 come from, so I´d imagine 13 are still very critical.
