how is calming down a 2 year old, which most 2 year olds are known for their tempers, a problem?

I've never once had to take my 2 year old (or any of my nieces and nephews at that age) into another room to calm her down while acting out.

I've never known a kid that didn't need to be calmed down on occasion at 2.

I have a feeling one of us is full of shite.

If you want this thread to hang around you're going to have to change the title to something more descriptive.

You've never had to a 2 year old playing with their another kid and they fight over a toy? Your kid never starts whining trying to pull it away (or back) from the other kid? I just usually try to get him away from that toy if it's become an issue and calm him down and get him interested in something else. Or at the very least get him to learn to share.

That happens all the time, but I don't take them to calm down. It usually "Hey, share or I'm taking it away" They share or it gets taken.
