By reading on WWLTV.com the officers followed training and protocol. The family is complaining that the officers didn't park outside nor did they announce themselves. That is good police tactics when dealing with armed suspects breaking into a house. The car is a target and you don't want to tell armed subjects where you are. Doors and walls in homes don't stop bullets in most houses.

Oh I dunno, but maybe of these dumba$$ kids had some basic "hometraining" by parents then they could avoid situation where they blatantly break into houses and openly carrying guns.

You're assuming he was carrying a gun. I'm betting he wasn't.

The Sheriff was on local HTV and said what happened.... where the officers were. If what he said was true...... Sheriffs Office wins.

taken from the wwl report "Legarde said Tillman lived a few streets down from the house where he died. He added that he believed "there was no way" Tillman and the others were robbing the home because it was completely empty. He knew this because he considered purchasing the property to add to about 20 others he rents out in the neighborhood"

Anyone else find it odd that this teacher has 20 rental properties in the neighborhood?

Not really.

He has the time to fix them up why not? He probably rents them out as section 8 and gets @ least $1,000 a mth for each one. Houses back there can be purchased to $40,000.

My parents built back there in 1979 for $48,000... sold in 1997 for $54,000. At one point it was a nice neighborhood.

Just caught me as odd to be on a teacher's salary and be able to afford 20 rentals. Even if you can swing the note due to rental income that is allot of money to borrow even if they are less than $100k each unless the teacher had a hefty inheritance the numbers just don't add up to me.

Update: BB gun.

When the police parse words with respect to a weapon, rest assured it's not a gun.

That is a terrible ROI no offense The "cost" of money far exceeds that in just shy of 20 years.

Where did they move to?
