I met a classmate of mine ten years after graduation in a small village in Laos, very odd. We never talked in high school but graduated the same year.

I play cards with a dude whose sister got bit by a shark and struck by lightning on the same day. The other players who know him back him up on his story.

I knew the first name of the woman I would come to marry when I was a kid. When I met the woman I would marry, I had the name right, and I knew it was her before she told me the name.

I was once sitting with my Pops on the tailgate of his truck in front of a friend's business. We were just talking. The building was right beside a railroad crossing that people loved to hit at way too high a speed. Our friend kept a collection of hubcaps that cars lost from hitting the tracks too hard.
Anyway, we were on the tailgate talking. I had a hat on and was looking down with my legs dangling, swinging back and forth. The cap bill blocked my view of the road, so that I was just looking straight down. A car came rolling by at a good clip and hit the crossing. A second later I caught a glimpse of something coming just into my field of vision like a flash, it was rolling along the ground at a pretty good speed. Like a reflex I closed my feet at just the right time and caught the hubcap off of a mid-2000s Toyota car.
I looked over at Pops who was still looking at the hubcap. He looked up and said, "Well, I'll be damned. Bet you can't do that again."
It was nothing life changing or anything, but I would have to agree with Pops......I'd be hard pressed to ever do that again.

I was in my first year of my career working for a large company. I was in management and I was giving a Quality and Safety speech at work in front of a couple of hundred people, mostly union folks, but there were some upper management folks there as well. I was standing behind a podium and I was putting the crowd to sleep with quality and safety information that was just plainly obvious and no need to preach about. But that was the information given to me to talk about.
The crowd was rightfully bored as hell.
One lady about 30' away was standing in a side aisle and was apparently acting like she was kicking me, and her shoe accidentally flew off like a rocket right at my head. I didn't notice it until it was very close but by some miracle in a split second I snatched it out of the air with my hand right before it hit me in the face. I went from miracle catch to sitting it on top of the podium in plain view in less than a second. I didn't miss a beat in my speech other than a quick "Nice shoe! in mid sentence when I set it down in plain view and just kept talking like it didn't happen. The crowd roared in laughter and in that one moment, I somehow gained respect from the union and leadership folks who were there. People wanted to talk with me and I think this almost stupid incident kick started my career.

I have driven almost 1,000,000 miles in 30 years and have hit two deer. I hit both of those deer within an eighth of a mile of each other. Years apart.
I think I can top this. I would guess I’m around 1,000,000 miles in my 20 years of driving. I’ve hit 2 deer… At the same time. Absolutely splattered them and my truck sustained no damage.
The only other deer run in I had, it hit me. I was tipping at like 10 mph looking at our crops after a rain and she just jumped out of a ditch into my quarter panel.

I don't know how many miles I've driven, but twice, on the same road at the same spot, I have had to come to a complete stop and push or nudge a deer out of the way with my bumper. There were several years between the two instances. The road goes through a bottom notorious for deer. I once counted fourteen sets of eyes in a field very near where I had to encourage the deer to move.

I once had an incredibly surreal experience that still baffles me to this day. It was a sunny afternoon and I decided to take a leisurely stroll through the park near my house. As I was walking, I heard a strange buzzing sound coming from the bushes. Curious, I walked over to investigate and what I saw next was truly mind-blowing.
There, hidden amongst the foliage, was a glowing portal that seemed to shimmer and pulsate with energy. I couldn't believe my eyes and I hesitantly reached out a hand to touch it. As soon as my fingers made contact with the portal, I felt a strange sensation wash over me and before I could comprehend what was happening, I was sucked into the portal and transported to another world.
I found myself in a vibrant and colorful dimension unlike anything I had ever seen before. The sky was a brilliant shade of lavender and the ground was covered in sparkling crystals that reflected the light in dazzling patterns. Strange creatures roamed the landscape, some with wings and others with scales, all of them unlike anything I had ever encountered.
As I wandered through this alien world, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the sheer beauty and complexity of it all. I met beings who communicated telepathically and showed me incredible feats of magic that defied logic and reason. I was taken on a tour of their city, a sprawling metropolis that seemed to stretch on for miles in every direction.
Eventually, I was brought before their ruler, a majestic being who radiated power and wisdom. They explained to me that I had been chosen to visit their world as a representative of my own and that I had a crucial role to play in a great cosmic event that was about to unfold.
I was given a quest to retrieve a powerful artifact that would help save their world from a looming threat and I was bestowed with incredible abilities to aid me on my journey. Armed with newfound strength and knowledge, I set out on my quest and faced challenges and dangers that tested my courage and resolve.
After a series of trials and tribulations, I finally reached the artifact and with a sense of purpose and determination, I used it to defeat the malevolent force that threatened to destroy this strange and wondrous world. As a reward for my bravery and selflessness, I was granted a wish and I chose to open the door, get on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur.

I flipped a ford pinto into a stump that saved me from drowning in a bayou and it did not explode.

I have been stung by a stingray twice, in my left foot.
I recently broke my leg....the left one.
While my crippled broke leg arse was cutting grass on my zero turn a yellow jacket stung me exactly where I broke my leg. I slapped it, it hurt like frick and I almost drove the zero turn into the pond.
God hates my left leg.

I caught a hummingbird once. He flew into my shed one evening as it was getting kinda close to dark. He was up by the ceiling on top of a shop light.
Just after dark I decided I’d get a brown up close to him and he’d just fly away. He didn’t move. So as gently as I could, I touched him with the straw end of the broom. He took that as an invitation to hop on the broom. I went to the door with it and when he didn’t take off flying, I decided to see what I could get away with. I lowered the broom down to chest level. He’s still there. I touch him with my finger. He doesn’t move. So I decided to just grab him and hold him if I can. I cupped my hands around him and went to show my wife who was outside. I opened my hands just enough for them to see so he doesn’t fly. And then I opened my hands more, thinking, ok he’s certainly gonna take off now. Nope! I guess because it was dark outside he didn’t want to fly? I pretty much held him as long as I wanted to then I set him down on a tree in my yard as high as I could reach, wondering if maybe he was hurt. AND THEN HE FLEW AWAY! Couldn’t believe it.

Guy that works for me had a tire going down on a tractor so he pulled behind an old store building and called me to bring a service truck to air the tire up. While he was filling the tire I was walking around behind the old store and noticed a marble sticking out of the dirt. When I picked it up I also noticed the edge of a ring. The ring ended up being my Dads old high school class ring. He had lost it over 60 years ago. My dad passed away in 2013. This happened about 3 months ago.
Edit: His initials were engraved on the inside.

I picked up a random rock in the Bogue Chitto when I was 11 years old because it looked cool. Turned it over and there was a face carved into it. Some kind of Native American thing. Still have it.

I found a diamond ring valued at $1900 digging around a water meter to install a back flow preventer. If my shovel scoop was a little more, it would still be down there. Let me know if you lost it.

I went with some coworkers to do axe throwing. Before we started competing, we were given two warm-up throws against a target. I centered bullseye with both warm-ups. Walked around like I was hot shite until it was time to play. I never hit bullseye again and ended up being one of the worse throwers of the night.

Ii was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. The treatment plan was for 30 days of chemo radiation, and surgery scheduled six weeks later. Surgery meant that I would nave to wear a bag, at least temporarily. A week and a half before the surgery date I went to the surgeon and he got me to do an MRI, as he wanted to see if the tumor had decreases in size. The MRI showed that the tumor had disappeared. He then did a colonostopy and took tissue samples and they biopsied as benign, no cancer detected. So surgery was canceled. My oncologist said that only about 5% of patients have their tumors disappear after chemo radiation. Two years later still cancer free.
