In 2014, two years after pot was legalized there, and the year pot actually began being legally sold there, Colorado elected a Republican Senator.

Do you think that will ever happen again? I don't think it's a coincidence that it became impossible for Republicans to win statewide elections there immediately after pot shops started opening.

Yea, how are the politics in Louisiana, Mississippi, etc

What sucks is you run into so many natives who are staunch conservatives and you wonder how the state is so far leftist. There are a LOT of trust fund leftists. They are from Chicago or California usually. The come in fully subsidized by their rich families wanting to experience the hippie lifestyle. They work as baristas or whatever but somehow live in the uber expensive RiNo district. Some of the older ones live in Washington Park in these 3 bed 2 ba 1600 sq ft houses that are 3 million dollars. They ally with the hispanics that live in Aurora and have a solid majority. Denver prices out folks in the middle like I was(though I was somewhat slumming it).

It sucks that those people run things when it really doesnt seem like they are that numerous. Id bet a pretty penny that Arvada, Golden, Castle Rock, Broomfield, etc are all red

Yes, you liberals are so enlightened....that you got your shite pushed in a little over a week ago.

One can acknowledge that Colorado's politics are ruining a beautiful state, the same way California was ruined, and also recognize that Louisiana's lack of natural beauty combined with it's history of corruption and culture is also pretty awful.

But, enjoy your mask mandates and shut downs the next time your fellow leftists unleash another plandemic.

If you’re looking at Denver…it’s just a big, liberal-run city. I wasn’t impressed. Access to beautiful areas is obviously a huge plus but I found Colorado Springs to be much more my speed.

The mail in ballots turned CO blue. It would 100% be a swing state if not. The leftists there are majority lazy potheads. If they had to put any effort into voting, they wouldnt. Id imagine this method of voting is ripe for fraud and manipulation.

I agree with your comments. I’ve not lived in the state, but have been there a lot over the last decade or so. A son lived in Breckenridge for a few years. He’s now in Denver.

Colorado is packed with transplants. You meet all types of people. Some are very nice. Most do not have southern hospitality in them, however. That’s OK. Most of them are pretty nice people.

The assholes are either die hard California transplants that are mentally ill or loaded jackasses from back east or elsewhere think their shite does not stink.

And, in the mountains, there are a decent number of complete idiots who think that area is all for themselves and treat everyone else as an unauthorized, unwanted interloper. They don’t have sense enough to understand that without the outsiders' money, they wouldn’t have a pot to piss in.

Lived 10 years on the western slope and loved it. Year round activities be it Skiing, hiking, camping, fishing, rafting, golf etc. The only time of year I wasn’t crazy about was during the spring thaw. Very muddy and the time of year that had the least amount of outdoor activities.

Would go back in a second.

Yet you have made no argument to the contrary. I'll take your meaningless platitudes as concession.

Had an Aunt who was a nurse in Vail for 30 years. She lived in Leadville and commuted, way too expensive to live in Vail.
