Thanks guys. We're going to see Aaron Lewis in March.
I haven't been down there in 10 years or so.

Lot of Bama fans are usually around the casinos there, rivaled only by the LSU fans.

I went on a weekend that happened to be Scrapin the Coast. I was unaware of this fact.
Even despite that, room was nice, food was good. Casino was just okay. Lots of flat bills and affliction, although that probably had a lot to do with Scrapin the Coast. Atmosphere is great.
Pool area is really nice, especially when you're hung over and someone is in your bathroom in the room upstairs so you end up at the pool at 7am looking for a restroom, which I found and destroyed.

I promise you I wore flip flops in there in August, was there for a bachelor party

Best concert venue ever. The bigger bands make it feel like an arena concert in a club atmosphere. Holds around 1,000 people. They have seating on the balcony, but you don't want that. Get front floor general admission (there is generally a barricade separating front and rear floor). Get there about 30 minutes early and you'll usually be within 15-20 feet of the stage. Been to at least a couple dozen concerts there. Seen some great ones - Judas Priest, Megadeth, Stone Temple Pilots, Slash with Myles Kennedy...Some really nice suites - last time I was in one on the southeast corner. Wall to wall glass with some pleasant views overlooking the Gulf and the Harbor. Splurge and get a suite - you won't regret it. A nice suite, a good concert, a dinner at Ruth's Chris, and playing in the casino all makes for a damn fine weekend if you ask me.

I believe you. I'll have to talk with management my next trip, they're supposed to keep the non-classy riffraff out.

It's a good concert venue. Saw STP last time they were there (with Chester Bennington) among other bands, but the new Golden Nugget poolside is also damn good for a concert. I've seen Better Than Ezra play there the last two summers. BTE, bikinis, and beer are a good combo.

Rooms are nice. Casino ok and better than the boomtown, etc. Ruth's Chris is good and 10x better than Lafayette's RC

We spent enough $ in there to justify the attire

Why stay in a suit the whole time you are there? shite I like to kick back and relax, not be all uncomfortable wearing a suit. In fact the first thing I do when I get there is go to my suite and change out of my suit into something more relaxing.

Saw them there 2014. Those H2O pool concerts are cool. Group of us went early in the day for the pool and ended up jumping back in halfway through the show. haha. I dig that swim up bar.
Haven't been to Hard Rock in forever. The new tower looks out of place without the matching purple window tint.
