When we lived in San Francisco wed spend summers with my grandparents. Id always end up getting dragged to my cousin's baseball tournament which was always played at the fields in LW.

I thought those were the grratest fields ever. Way better than the fields in Broadmore.

I always explain Houma as a place that has everything you need, but nothing you want.

Accurate description for someone 18- starting to have kids. I think it’s a great place to raise kids and to grow up till you’re 18 or so. Then GTFO and go see the world. Come back and raise kids if you want to after that.

when i was a kid, the fields in Montegut were even better.

had an old man who took meticulous care of them.
dirt was always perfect, grass was damn near manicure cut.

Coach Bob took care of them, they were in great shape. He retired and its slightly better than a goatfield now.

If you’re ever at a bar shooting pool with strangers and kicking their asses, respectfully decline the offer to put money on the next game.

You will lose and you will lose bigly.

Houma is a good town. Growing fast. Oil market lowdown has slowed it some.

As far as schools, great elementary schools. Some Junior and Senior highs struggle. My wife is a teacher for Houma Christian School. It is an awesome school.
