Going tomorrow night. What's parking like? Is it solely walking through and seeing lights and taking a train ride?

Is it fun?

It's not bad if you're drunk.

It's fun. Kids will love it. Yes it's now waking only.
Buy your tickets online to avoid lines.

My wife and I had a blast when we went when we were first dating. It was fun for taking goofy pictures. It's more of a kids thing, but the lights are pretty and the storyland stuff is goofy fun if you're not stuck up.

Would be better without the murder, but still a good time.

It's alright. Kinda small. They have fair type stuff since it's in the story land area and lights/botanical gardens. They also have the train ride through the park with lights.

It's a good place to take your girlfriend or wife.

Well for one it's called Celebration in the Oaks now but we still call it Christmas in the Oaks.

We go every year after Christmas and it's fun as the crowds lessen. We stay away from the amusement park section because the crowds are terrible. Train ride is worth it. Story land is fun with kids, and the model train layout is really cool. The rest of the walking part is nice especially back in the gardens... plenty of places for kids to run around.

ETA Order your tickets online before you leave or you'll stand in line waiting for a long time.

Just park somewhere along City Park Ave or Marconi and be prepard to walk a ways. Storyland area is open with all the kiddie rides and the concession stand. Theres usually another tent with food and then all the lights and Christmas displays

Good for the kids, good for date nights, and expensive as hell..

Stay the night and make a fishing trip out there in the morning, the bass are legit

Are you really suggesting for someone to stay the night so they can fish at city park? LOL

It's pretty easy to avoid crowds if you go earlier in the season or after Christmas.
Of course if you go during the rest of this week, go early
