Remind her that everything she owns is due to you parents and that by law you are only legally liable to provide basic necessities.

Ask her to think really hard about which corner of the garage she wants a mattress to sleep on and if she will enjoy her new wardrobe of cheap scrubs to wear, 2 pairs so she has a set to wear while hand washing the other.

I really hope the OP isn't naive to really think she was just "taking a stroll around the block" cause she couldn't sleep. Lock that shite down, and go thru her phone/ computer with a fine tooth comb.

I find that people don't set rules down well enough with their kids. Especially before they give them their phones, etc. Like how they have no expectation to privacy, and inspections are always on the table. "every inch of this house belongs to me, not you, so I will go wherever I want" was always a card being used by my parents.

Normal behavior i'd say. When my daughter was a youngster, she said she hoped I'd get run over by a car. Whatever. She loves us dearly now. Teenage girls are no joke. Glad that's over.
