A.I. is replacing all of them. These jobs aren't going to Americans bc there won't be any.

Awesome! Do the Chinese “students” next. Why TF do we let hundreds of thousands of these spies…I mean “students” in to study at our universities? Every damn one of them is a spy or a spy in training. It’s crazy. Hello there biggest enemy China, please send us your people so we can educate them and let them steal all of our technology and defense secrets!

I recall about 25 years ago, Scott Mcnealy if Sun Microsystems was begging for expanded H1-B’s. Said we needed unlimited because Americans weren’t smart enough to do the work. Sun basically put together computers and then totally missed the boat and had to sell out.

Can confirm that the last 18 hours have been glorious

I spent my entire 2.5 hour indoor bike ride this morning scrolling LinkedIn and Reddit reading and relishing the melts

These idiots act like these H1B workers are the most elite of elite human capital and the US economy will die without them

Good.

Companies here need to be using citizens. Pay the American people for jobs. Stop trying to hire cheap labor and actually pay workers real wages

I love ambush conference calls with zero context, the absolute best.

I'm fine with this. I love capitalism, but our current flavor of it completely fricks the American worker.

There's nothing more capitalist than piggybacking off the horrible rules and cultural misery of 3rd world countries to hire their workers that do not have full negotiating abilities.

So "free market".

They were worthless

They forget how to speak or understand English really quick if you give them something they don’t want to do.

They will pencil whip the shite out of an expense report as well to gain maybe $2-3 bucks.

Plenty of people melting down at my company. I’ve seen a few folk’s cancelling cruises, some people in India for weddings, all sorts of situations.

On one hand, I feel like a week notice would’ve been nice. Some of the folks are homeowners in the US. On the other hand, frick the H1B abuse.

Software developers when influenced by workplace politics are it for me. We have a group of them who build and maintain an ESG application for investment options and they are told it’s important and they take it a gospel. So when they need something from you, it’s of “the upmost importance sir for ESG purpose” followed by an hourly follow up on their question that immediately goes to the back burner in the first place.

Great, now you can eat a hamburger and smoked brisket in front of your new American coworkers without being called insensitive
