Wife’s spending her summer creating new flip charts for use on the smart boards because they decided to change curriculum yet again.

Have 16 gigs booked so far (probably average $200 each overall). Setting up a teachers pay teachers account along with social media accounts for advertising. Might start writing a book but probably work on an orchestral score I started a few years ago.

I probably had about five days off all last summer including weekends. This summer will probably be the same. I teach summer school, bartend, run a tennis camp, and paint houses. I’m NOT complaining one bit as I like to stay busy.
The whole teacher pay/time off thing pisses me off. Whoever thinks teachers have it made because of their salaries and time off, then go get your teaching degree and have at it. For teachers that complain about their pay, go get a different job. You knew what the pay would be when you went into education. I’m happy of my career choice and have never complained one bit about it.

Currently traveling

I have a training for a week at the end of the month

Then I'll travel some more

Then two weeks before school starts I'll start getting things started
Worked last summer though for some extra income

just like any job when schools add more required things for the same pay you get upset. Unlike most other jobs teachers don't have an opportunity to receive a raise or get evaluated for a raise.

Been out for summer for a week. So far I have gone snapper fishing 3 times limiting quickly each time and got 2 lemonfish and 1 blackfish in those trips. Trout fishing once. Boiled a bunch of crawfish one day. Gonna fish saltwater a few more times then go to the camp for 10-15 days crappie fishing. Decide at that point it in staying there longer or come back home to the saltwater. Unless I think of something else I want to do then I’ll do that. Basically I’m doing whatever the freak I want until aug 1.

LOL, I've had to deal with the same thing before. I didn't get the summer off, though. I was able to find a better job in the industry though. I guess those are hard to find for teachers.
