Pretty stupid to do that. People need to vent, and lots of times people say things to be funny.

Shouldn't be fired for someone illegally obtaining your private conversations. Nobody would have a job if everyone was subject to this. People have the right to private opinions.

You'd think but I also got called into the principals office because parents saw my car parked outside of a local bar. They claimed I was there too much. Principal told me I needed to project a better image so I told him he needs to find a new teacher and gave him my 2 weeks.

And they wonder why no one wants to teach anymore. What you do after hours is your own business. If it isn't illegal and doesn't impact your work life, it is not their business. Should have asked them to put this request in formal writing and then sued the school board if they terminated you.
