Sure it wasn’t parents of students wondering if they have to make plans for their kids? Not sure which Facebook group you were visiting.

And the kids don’t give a shite about them. It works both ways. You love your kids but hey are probably asrsholes to everyone else.

Send the kids and have a few killed on buses or when tornado hits and that should do the trick. Maybe cancel at 6:59 am in morning leaving parents in a bind. That’s the ticket.

A tornado hitting a school would just be bad luck and could have just as easily happened to houses. People try to act like a lot of kids aren’t safer at school in bad weather than they are in their double wide.

Or, perhaps those with kids expect society to take them off their hands during times of stress. In reality, you had em so deal with them. The teachers have to deal with their own kids too.

Also, OP stop using your alter to spam the OT.

Teachers Griping? Is it a day of the week ending in '-day'?

Or is it groping, and we need pics.

Nobody and I mean nobody wants to teach public school less than public school teachers.

If COVID didn't teach us anything else, it taught us that.

I think it stems from the lack of real teaching over the last 10 years. Do you have kids? We pay 40k a year for private school tuition and there have been a million instances of the teachers not really doing their jobs well. They seem more interested in the students learning on their own. Gone are the days where a teacher would make it their mission to make sure every student learns the material. Today’s teacher doesn’t give a frick if a student fails.

Just thinking about my kids teachers this year reading this thread. I find a mixed bag in my kids school from going to open house and just interacting with them via email. The math teacher she has this year really cares and works hard on them and is effective. Geography teacher is definitely on drugs and worried more about coaching. Art teacher probably on antidepressants. The science teacher really loves science but seems not effective with the kids.

To me this cross of personalities is not different than my employees, all of whom are paid over $100k a year. Some are great, some are excited but not effective, some are medicated and some suck. It’s just people baw. Oh and all my employees definitely want out of work for any given reason.

Cancel a couple of days. I'm sure the lesson plan is thin for those days anyway. Kids won't miss a lick. Think back to the stories of the one room schools. Those were the golden days of education in the US.

Everybody stay with me here, don’t panic and read till the end. Isn’t it perfect fine to just ignore what govt workers want to do with your kids, and just make your own decisions? Cause I ain’t read one of those damn school emails.
