Since this was never replied to, my guess is like a mechanical, electrical, and software engineer type high school class that builds little robots to accomplish simple tasks.

Separately from policies/legalities, I just don't get how a teacher could be that dumb/naive to be a teacher of a-hole teenagers who leaves her phone unattended and not locked(assuming).
You are searching for a way to justify blaming the victim.
It is similar to asking if she had a short skirt or a low cut blouse when a woman is sexually assaulted.

If the teacher sues for wrongful termination, you think she should win?
It depends. Is she covered under a collective bargaining agreement or any other agreement that states they have to have a justifiable reason to fire her? If so, did they meet the burden of proving the justifiable reason? If the above answers are:
1. yes, she is covered under a contract and no they did not meet their burden, then yes she should win.
2. yes, she is covered under a contract and they did meet their burden, then no, she should not win
3. no, she is not covered under a contract, but the district must prove a justifiable reason and they do not meet that burden, then yes.
4. no, she is not covered under a contract and they do meet their burden, then no she shouldn't win.
5. If this is an at-will employment then they can fire her for any reason or no reason and it will be up to the courts to decide.
6. Ultimately it doens't matter what I think. This will be up to the courts to decide.

She still shouldn't have been just sitting around like that with no protection
Maybe she had protection and he didn't look hard enough. Little bastards, always taking the easy way out.

It would be funny if she was the moderator for the photography club.

Yep. In the post I replied to you were looking for ways to blame her and totally left out any blame for the thief and sender of naked pictures to children.

quote:Ohhhhh, so I have to blame the thief in every single post of this thread or else i'm blaming the victim? That's wild, man!!!
and totally left out any blame for the thief and sender of naked pictures to children.
And fwiw, this specific quote of yours, I addressed on page 12.

My bad then. I have only read about 10 pages of this thread, not all. I have seen many people wanting to blame her for this little Cretin violating her rights and property.
He should end up on the predator list for sending nudes to minors. It is not a secret that doing so is against the law.
