Teacher accused of sending illicit photos to student loses license

Christ was charged in June with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. She was accused of sending two photos of herself through social media to the student in February, prosecutors said. School officials learned of the images and contacted authorities, prosecutors said.
Christ taught algebra to juniors and seniors at South Plainfield High School for two years and served as the school's cheerleading coach, authorities said. She held a teaching license in New Jersey since 2010 and previously worked at Sayreville War Memorial High School.

That's not true.
Male teachers have been getting away with having inappropriate relationships with teenaged girls for a long time. You are assuming a lot, based on this limited article. She is entering a pre-trial treatment for first time offenders, but that says nothing about the eventual disposition of her case. There have been a lot of women in the news arrested for this, and have been sentenced to jail time.
I agree that women and men are treated differently when it comes to sex with under aged teens. But men have been getting away with this behavior for a long time. Back in my day, my high school had two teachers, one male and one female that were both having sex with students. In both instances they were covered up by administration.
