The pussification of our country continues.

SJWs are the new Puritans.

The scary thing is that this is "Texas Christian University" doing the suspending, not some left-leaning liberal arts school....

The First Amendment keeps you out of jail for what you say. It doesn't keep you in college for what you say.

Yeah and I don't think TCU is a public University

exactly. It continues to amaze me that so many people have no clue how 'freedom of speech' works.

Holy shite. If you can't have free expression on a college campus then we are fricked. The sjw thought police are as bad as the KGB.

Private school. They can do whatever the frick they want.

I have no problem with what TCU did if he violated some portion of the student handbook. Plus, it's one less idiot spamming their political views on social media.

College today is as much a business as Microsoft or McDonalds. Why should they be bastions of free speech?

Are you 15? There has never been "freedom of expression" at a private institution.

TCU is a piece of shite Nazi oriented organization that supports the likes of Stalin and Hitler.
They pride themselves on silencing free expression and oppressing students unless they fall in line with their institutionalized belief system rooted in fascism.
I love the first amendment.

There isn't even free speech at public universities except for in designated areas like "free speech alley."
The crazy part about this case is that the "speech" occurred on social media. Does expression on social media fall under the purview of the university? That's a question.
What is not in question is that TCU, having decided that the speech does fall under their purview, can take whatever action they want.

Quit trying to silence my expression, fricking fascist.
TCU has the right to do what they did if he violated the student code.
That doesn't mean they should have done it. They could have taken a stand against these social media fascist SJW, who are hell bent on transforming society to their own vision and silencing any differing opinions, and said as a college campus they value differing opinions and freedom to express yourself as you learn and grow and while they in no way condone or support his message they value his ability to express himself.
Instead they chose to be Nazi douchebags. You're doing the same thing.
It's a sad day when businesses and universities bow to the whims of an ignorant vocal minority every day on flashpan issues.

bullshite. You can have all the freedom of expression you want as long as it fits into academias echo chamber. Back in the 90's LSU had free speech ally in front of the union. Students of all persuasions would gather and debate and it was a good thing. Squashing different views underneath a jackboot is not what this country stands for. A lot of you fricks can't wait to give up your freedoms.

Don't conservatives believe that going to college is a privilege, not a right? Especially at a WASP-ridden place like TCU....attendance is a privilege. The kid clearly lost his privilege during the back and forth he had with the university. It seems like he had an opportunity to make things right but he chose to be a martyr.
frick him. He doesn't get his way just because he wants. Speech has consequences. Lesson learned.
