The fact that people think that's risque or wild shows how uptight some people are.

What specifically about her current marketing is skewed towards younger audiences?

A song about a liberal man's penis should be called Toothpick not Wood.

So you've seen a lot of bipartisan cock?

Whether you like it or not, she will be around for a long time. She has songs released almost 20 years ago that are still being played regularly and her fans are still relatively young. They will only grow and have more disposable income to buy her albums and attend shows.

This is very true because the soundtrack of your youth is always remembered fondly, even if you grow out of the music. The teens today will be in their 40s and there are a lot of women in their late thirties and early forties that still love her music from her first pop albums.

The Taylor Swift story arc from heart of gold middle American teen to dumb childless washed up whore has been pretty bleak

The insecurity in this place fascinates me.

She will continue to grow because people like me have listened to her since around high school age so have spent adult life relating to her. And now our kids by default end up liking her because they hear her all the time and her pop hits are so fun.

My 7 year old son and I went to the movie this weekend. He was dancing around in his seat and fell in love with watching her make The Fate of Ophelia music video and has since been directing sword fight performances to the song all weekend for me to record.

He loves the song Opalite because it talks about dancing in lightning which he said is so cool.

His all time favorite song of hers is oddly The Archer.

So there is a whole generation growing up with her again. We just skip the inappropriate songs when hes around.

A few:

-Her online store sells kids’ sizes
-Friendship bracelets
-Usually giving a hat to a kid when singing “22”

The new music video is out for everyone who has been anxiously waiting in here. Kinda cool, they filmed it without the music, just clicks for the beat.

I have nothing for, or against, Tylor Swift. As a normal, heterosexual, married guy in his mid-50s, her music isn’t my cup of tea. My wife and daughter though have been big Taylor Swift fans for years. Their reaction to her new album has been one of disappointment. Th quote from my 17 yr old daughter, who’s in Taylor’s core demographic, was “it’s just not good.”

Take from that whatever you will.

I was generally neutral towards her. I liked some things and never got into her music the way others did.

But, her last album was dark and I related to just about every song on it, particularly and especially the smallest man to ever live. Then again, I was going through a tremendously dark time in my own life and the guy she was with must have done her similarly to how I was treated.

With all that being said, because I enjoyed that last album so much, I was excited to hear this one. I thought she would have a litany of songs with a little more depth about her love and relationship with Travis Kelce. Nope. I haven’t even gotten through it because it’s just kinda shitty. It’s uninteresting and trashy just for the sake of it.
