I got a small tattoo on my shoulder blade at 18 years old. When my mother (no pics or tattoos) noticed, she laughed at me. She said, “You’ll be sorry about that tattoo on your wedding day. And you are going to remember this conversation.” I rolled my eyes.

She was absolutely right. Age 18 is an unwise time to make certain irreversible decisions.

That is a striking image.

ETA: That is a strikingly beautiful image.

ETAA: If it washes off.

Tattoos are predominantly found on people with poor impulse control. (Always exceptions to the rule)

However, people with poor impulse control do not spend time weighing their decisions nor learn from their mistakes.

So those without tattoos will always wonder what those with tattoos “were thinking”.

Problem is that those with tattoos were not thinking at all.

It’s a circular debate and it will never be resolved.

I got 3 tattoos when I was in the Army.
None of them are visible with shorts and t-shirt on.
Most people don't even know I have them.
I don't regret any of them.

I was indifferent about mine (18 year old stupidity) before the OT. I didn’t realize people judge them so harshly. Now I’m embarrassed and plan to get it removed. I have thick concealer to cover it when desired.

So...17 years before regret?

Where at?
