I got banned from r/Target because someone was saying that the stock price wasn’t a big deal, it wasn’t the same as profit, etc…, and I replied by pointing out that the valuation and market cap of a publicly traded company is in fact a big fricking deal.

50% below it’s high of $260 in July 2021. Buying opportunity?

I wouldn't, mismanaging parading as wokeness is a terrible business model. It's not like they do anything special either. All the cheap Chinese crap they sell can be easily bought elsewhere. No loss if I, or any other person on the planet, never shop there again.

Can't try to time the market.

But the PE ratio is still a bit high. And if the current quarter is a miss, it'll most likely drop when the announcement happens.

Cancel culture is going after innocent individuals’ livelihood for having a different political opinion.

Sally believes abortion is bad. Let’s gang up on Sally and get her fired from her barista job at small independent coffee shop.

This isn’t cancel culture. It’s capitalism.

Target is targeting kids with trans crap. Let’s not spend our money there.

I went into a Target tonight to grab a quick item. I was uneasy about shopping there based on the recent controversy, but convenience ultimately won out. However, I noticed that other shoppers—there weren’t many—appeared to be looking carefully at the swimwear near the front door to see if the bikinis were “tuck friendly.” Thankfully, the one near me appeared to have gotten rid of the trans stuff.

It only took beer for it to finally catch on, more power to them. That’s the world we live in now and people raising families with values and integrity didn’t start this mess.

It's a cut throat business that doesn't accommodate for stupid decisions by marketing. FAFO.
