This is nothing more than an overt attempt a shifting the Overton window.
They're putting a toe over the line to get people used to the idea, then once they do, they start increasing the next step.
I'd bet that within a few years Target will be selling drag queen kits for kids.

Target is not removing these items because they are scared of confrontations, they're removing them because they are afraid of the backlash that Bud Light got.

Wife went into target after work yesterday and said the pride stuff was not at the front of the store but put in the middle of the store. So it sounds like every Target is doing things differently. I would have to imagine it is due to their customers in their area.
In our area this stuff is liable to be knocked over.

Alienating at least half (conservatives) of your customer base to appease less than 1% of the population has always baffled me as a business model.
