find it more interesting someone felt the need to make a disabled Santa. My grandma was wheel chair bound from the age of 7 thanks to polio. She didn't need equal "representation" in all facets of life to feel valuable as a person. No one asked for nonsense like this

Why doesn't it bother you is what you should ask yourself?

I can walk just fine, I don't give a shite if they make a disabled Santa, or a retarded Santa, or an 800 pound Santa with a chainsaw for a penis.

It's all make believe anyway. There are different versions of Christmas and Santa all over the world.

If my neighbors isn't exactly the same as mine, that's their own business.

Its random as frick and if the kids see Santa in a wheelchair they might think he is hurt an unable to do his thing on Christmas. Unless its a wheelchair accessible home.

The whole "we need to include everyone" bullshite is stupid. People have to be realistic. Now if they want to put an elf in a wheelchair who designs some of the toys that all the other elves build cool. Makes sense. But Santa?

You accidentally make my point for me :lol

Target has already shown they cannot be trusted with the not caring attitude without making trans shite for kids to groom them, so save it for someone else.

Please show me the version of Santa whose lore has him in a wheel chair. I'll wait.

You again make my point for me. There is no need to have every single race/disability/whatever represented in product offerings.

I don't do market research for Target, but apparently there is.

It's called target audience and it ties into profit.

Businesses make stupid decisions all the time. You said there was no need for these items.

The need is someone has a job and they are doing it. Whether or not it works is a different issue entirely.

It's funny the things some people can accept and then where they draw the line what is unacceptable. He is ALREADY sitting in a chair that flies around the world in one night and shrinks small enough to fit down ur chimney. Why can u grasp that but him just staying in the chair and the entire chair shrinking and going down the chimney impossible to to wrap your head around?

Seems way quicker if he has to go to billions of houses in a single night to just zoom straight on down the chimney in his sleigh rather than parking on every rooftop, then walking to the chimney, then shrinking to shoot down it, then unshrinking and placing toys, then shrinking and shooting back up.

Good lord

Just another OT centrist. Go ahead, ask him. He will let you know he is above all the two party,left/right bullshite. Yet he only chimes in to defend progressive garbage like this.

The frick is this word salad? You said there has to be a (ETA profitable ) market for it just because Target made it. How'd that work out with kiddie tuck gear?

While I think the Santa in a wheelchair is a little silly, I wouldn't say every race or disability doesn't have to be represented.

As a kid, when you don't see others like you then you just assume you can't do it.

I grew up in a wheelchair my entire life. I was never around other people in wheelchairs. Ever. I grew up as "normal" as one could being in a wheelchair. There were things that I thought I was able to do because everyone else around me did it, but then as I got older and was able to understand that I couldn't do everything that all my friends were doing, I didn't see anything I was able to do.

When I was in HS I remember my dad telling me "you are going to have to find something to do that involves working with computers" and I actually hated computers. I always preferred to be outside, being around others and the idea of being in front of a computer doing work, when I was in HS was something I couldn't imagine doing.

But at the time I didn't understand or know the possibilities. The more I learned how to do on a computer, the more I accepted them and so on, but my point is, I do think its important to have every race or disability represented as long as its in a practical way.

Like I said, Santa in a wheelchair is funny to me, There are a lot of jokes that come to mind. The problem is that to have products to represent different groups of people, its probably best to have someone from each group to decide what are the best items to include what people in and not to include what people in.

Nonsense. Kids don't see whit like that without jaded adults telling them to.

I don't know? Maybe they fired that person? Did you think that meant they were gonna quit selling shite? Selling things is their entire business.

Being in a wheelchair isn't a political issue no matter how hard you try to make it one.
