A man who has been convicted of raping a minor has been sentenced to prison and will be required to become chemically castrated.

According to the Tangipahoa Parish District Attorney's Office, Ryan Clark was sentenced to serve 35 years in prison for raping a child.

Clark was also ordered to not contact the victims, register as a sex offender for life, forfeit all parental rights to all children, and submit to chemical castration when he is released.

Clark plead guilty to the four felony charges earlier this month.

According to the district attorney, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office was told of the indecent behavior on July 16, 2020.

The victim told the sheriff's office that the behavior had taken place for more than a year. The child was interviewed by the Children's Advocacy Center in Hammond and detailed the incidents, according to the district attorney.

A possible second victim was also discovered.

ACLU will do everything they can to keep that from happening.

I didn't even know that was a possibility or on the table. Bravo!

Isn’t that just for those before trial or plea deal? I assumed once convicted or plead guilty, mug shots should be available
