Testing positive.

There's your answer. How many got it and never went to get tested and were just super spreaders?

Yeah. I might not know medical terms, but I have common sense and I know numbers.

Friend that just graduated from UCLA last year got the vaccine in March since he is a type 1 diabetic and has worn a pump since a child. Good shape, excellent golfer,

tested positive for Covid yesterday after feeling lethargic, fever, couldn’t taste.

SS...just curious why did he get tested? Would he have gotten tested if he wasnt a diabetic?

95% means 1 of every 20 can still get Covid, post vaccine. (Data suggests it’s even less than that). This equally means 19 of every 20 likely won’t.

Yet 15% of those hospitalized at OLOL are vaccinated. Those numbers your doc gave you are not holding up in reality.

Is it lower, yup. Do I recommend some people to strongly consider vaccination...sure.

But it should NOT be mandated. The data simply doesn’t support that option.

Until then, it is a choice, and one that you should respect.

Not at an alarming rate. That may sound cruel or uncaring, but it's not meant to be. People die. As sure as you are born you will die.

This approach is much more appreciated. Still not doing it though. I already had Covid with little negative effect and anybody around me who is worried has the option to get the jab.

My wife and I completed Maderna vaccinations this past February. We are both 72 years old. In June I caught Covid and passed it on to her. I caught it while we were in Florida vacationing with the family. None of our adult children (all vaccinated) nor grandkids were infected. Our symptoms were like a mild case of the flu and did not need medical attention. I’m glad we were vaccinated. Could have been much worse.

And to be fair, may not have even been covid.

Glad it wasn't serious though

What the hell?
The only reason to get vaccinated is for yourself and your loved ones.
The only reason to not get vaccinated is for yourself and your loved ones.

There is no duty to others in this covid vaccine. This isnt polio. Thia isnt the black plague. It is nasty, but not that nasty.

If the community is worried, then they can voluntarily shut in and be safe. Make your (and their) own choices.
