Should bank tellers engage armed robbers?

Again, you aren't understanding the point of my original post which was from the stance of a franchise owner. I'm all for protecting yourself, that doesn't mean I want my minimum wage employees treating my Taco Bell lobby like the Wild West.

Try to keep up

I do understand your rather poorly made and substantiated point. What you don't know is that the statistics are on the side of the employees here and not your imagined Wild West scenario. Now, do go do some research and leave the Hollywood Wild West stuff to the TV Board.

If they don't have several inches of bullet proof glass in the way? Certainly. Just like anyone in the lobby should have the ability to respond as such. Lot of banks do have armed securty too, Taco Bells not so much. Maybe you should have thought that through a little harder.

Says the guy with the myopic concept of armed self-defence and thinks Taco Bell employees don't enjoy the same rights as others by virtue of what they do for a living.

You are arguing an ought to be for employees v what is for employers.

Yes, that's exactly right. The company prohibits it per the handbook excerpt Osteen posted. They have the right to carry, but not at work where it is prohibited by their employer who is within their rights to do so.

Yes. Let me make this very plain so you can grasp a rather simple concept here; nobody's right to self-defense should end because they sell toys and food versus jewellery and gasoline. Corporate policy doesn't stop armed robbery and it's a pretty shitty thing to take into account if deciding to actively CCW. It seems these employees would rather be alive to get another McJob than risk dying for one because of a liability policy they don't see monetary benefits from.

What you think should happen in your mind isn't the same as the real world.

Aside from the fact that the post you even copied said plant, not cubical farm (not sure why you just made that up)

What happens when I catch someone innocent with a stray and I'm not supposed to have a gun on me?

Let me guess, "should have been a better shot!"
