Nope. Although, I've long thought both LSU and the city of Baton Rouge would probably be better had the campus remained adjacent to downtown, in the area where the State Capitol stands now. Put the refinery where LSU is currently, and the city sort of grows like Austin, Texas, instead of having the campus and downtown as basically islands in the city.
New State Capitol could have gone somewhere around the old = like where the city hall River Center is now.

The line would be blurred more as LSU would mesh the entire state. Likely, La Tech and ULM would not exist or be nearly as big since LSU would be so much closer.
But of course not as good for LSU football. And that's what matters.

Have you been to Pineville. It's one of the worst places I can think of. There is literally nothing to do there unless you like to eat at chain restaurants.

Actually Tulane used to be public and it used to be called University of Louisiana (it's true; look it up). They took it private because they got sick of getting continually screwed over by the LA state government. But if Louisiana weren't such a screwed up state and had naturally developed like the rest of the states in the south, Tulane would be our UGA/UA/Ole Miss type school, and LSU would be our GA Tech/Auburn/MSU type school.
