The post he was responding to didn't include any of that.
The $1300 included all of that. Unless I’m misunderstanding you.

I was in New Orleans this weekend and while I am no fan of Taylor swift, she definitely brought a ton of money into the city.

I have literally never felt safer walking to and from the Dome.

I am definitely curious about vehicle breaks in and such. But I feel like most people either walked from hotels or used rideshares/got a ride from a friend.

I am sure if there were a bunch we would have heard either on the news or social media.

That's like saying I feel so safe at Martha's vineyard. Yeah that's pretty obvious why

Would you like me to post them again? Not sure what that would do, it's not like they aren't still sitting there on the bottom of the last page. Oh well, let's try again.

quote:

200,000 tickets sold x $1300= $260,000,000. Where do they come up with the other $240,000,000?

Uhhhh, hotel costs, eating at restaurants, drinking, doing touristy things while in town and not at the concert, paying for Uber and Lift rides, etc., etc..

Those folks didn't just ride into town, stay at someone's house and then leave right after the concert. Many of them spent days here leading up to the event.

Greater New Orleans says nearly 200,000 concert tickets were sold for the three-night concert series, with each fan averaging around $1,300 spent on lodging, food, merchandise and other expenses, per a U.S. Travel Association report.

All that shite you just named was already counted.

I get all of those posts. The guy did simple math and asked where the rest of the economic impact dollars come from. Lots of posters posted a bunch of stuff that was already figured into the $1300 average and called the guy an idiot. Most of those posters are wrong about what the rest of the $500 million represents.

So what point are you trying to make? That is what is unclear.

75K to her is like $1 to you.

75K meals, and she donates in every city she stops in.

Also did $8M to NC hurricane relief.

People who complain about donations are weird.

She does this anonymously too, it's the organizations that share the info.

Excited to contribute to the Indy economy this Saturday!
