I would think that as well but it wasnt the kids mom who put it in Facebook.

I just hope the boy doesnt become jaded by life and stays this kind as an adult. We need more adults with this kind if empathy

I don't care if the mom put the son up to this...he still deserves the kudos for making that little girls day, month, year. That's awesome!

Agreed. Sometimes we have to nudge our kids into doing altruistic things so they can see how rewarding and gratifying it is. But it’s the really great kids who take the nudge and carry it through and on forward.

BW is a great guy. Remember the accident. His daughter has been through a lot due to this accident.

Hope she has a great time.

We have a neighbor who is a downs syndrome kid. My daughter and a few of her friends make it a point to include her in all the middle school stuff that normal kids do. It's absolutely the coolest thing you'll ever see kids do to make exceptions to include her in their middle school routines. This week the school has dress up days where kids wear shirts of their favorite teams, etc. Bunch of girls wore the same shirt and got together to take a photo before school started. That kid was on cloud nine having the opportunity to hang with all of her friends.

I expect that that group will have the common sense to continue to do the same thing through high school.

Proof that some kids are way better than adults.

Let me just put this to bed right now. The girl handing him the basket was NOT his mother. She was a family friend who helped him get the courage to ask her. She is a beautiful, sweet girl who deserved to be asked to the dance. The boy is an upstanding kid who was nervous. And, by the way, his mother was just simply having a 'proud mommy moment'. She posted it on Facebook for her friends to see. That's what good parents do. Your post upset her and she's too sweet to retaliate, but I'm not. That's a horrible thing to say about someone you don't know. You owe her an apology and need to get your facts straight before running people down you don't know 'shite' about. Check with grammerly while you're at it.

Tell the mom to not worry about the few asshats that posted in here. Most of the comments were very loving towards those kids including mine.

It’s good for the girl, but the boy was looking around waiting for them to tell him what to do. Even handing him the props

Just look at the lady’s FB. She does nothing but post shite about her day. This was an attention grab orchestrated for this woman’s FB account

All I give a damn about is that little girl's reaction and the little boy willing to pull it off. The rest is only static......
