A range finder would work just as well

I wonder if dateline or whatever will do a recreation of Dallas and BR with interviews and everything. They've done it for a bunch of other things

If that's where he was standing, what was obstructing the officer's view?

I think the adrenaline made him blind.
It's a miracle he pulled that shot off.

I'm surprised he managed to disengage the safety.
Unless...

I did a Google Earth this morning. It's 70 -100 yards, depending on exactly where the shooter was when the SWAT guy took the shot.

Where Edmunson pointed the shooter wasn't back in the trees. He was somewhere in the parking lot.

The line of fire remains the same.
Posted on 7/19/16 at 4:19 pm to gmrkr5
Why does that line end in an empty field? The reports all say long was in the open parking lot heading towards his car when he was shot dead in his tracks

No it doesn't.

Yes. I'm not disagreeing with you. I was just curious about the distance. The way Edmunson pointed was a little vague as I recall so roughly measuring it out it could be from 70 to 100 yards

I dont know where edmondson pointed. Posters were asking to see how he shot through structures, there is your structure
Posted on 7/19/16 at 4:25 pm to Chad504boy
Can we agree that people that shoot or hunt understand that 100 yards is a chip shot at the range or from a deer stand with a rifle but under these circumstances it was it was an impressive shot?
Posted on 7/19/16 at 4:30 pm to gmrkr5
That "structure" is the overhead cover of the detailing area for the car wash.
He didn't shoot through any Windows. May as well have not been a structure at all.
Posted on 7/19/16 at 4:31 pm to GeauxxxTigers23
I didnt argue the type of structure
So now we're arguing what a structure is?
