Looks exactly like that snake on the radar but shifted east and is over Lafayette. Getting pummeled here now.

The wind from SE/ESE is swamping us down here in Maurepas.

It is storming in Opelousas. Will be curious to see how much is in the gauge when the sun gets up.

Baw, get off some of your money and put one of these in your backyard. Best money I’ve ever spent. It’s damn near 100% accurate and tons of actual meteorologists recommend this one over the others.

Have Davis weather stations gotten any easier to connect to the internet so that their data can be accessed remotely? Do you still have to buy that extra device to connect a Davis station to the internet?

Lack of simplicity in connecting a Davis station to the internet, plus a disappointing life span on the last Davis station that I had, led me to switch to Ambient weather stations. Davis is still probably the best in terms of accuracy, but I’ve really enjoyed the two Ambient stations I’ve had.

Yea, I have a device that connects it wirelessly to the internet and I do believe I paid extra for it. All said and done I believe I paid around $1,000 for the whole set up. It’s very accurate though and I enjoy the hell out of it. Weather has been a huge hobby of mine since I was a young boy so while others would think I’m crazy for paying that, it’s worth it for me.

Didn’t get anything last night. Ditches drained off.

I was promised 11 inches and got 5. Now I know how my wife felt on our honeymoon.

Yup. Hard to call us "lucky" after what happened on Monday. But from about 4:00 pm Monday afternoon until now, Lake Charles has not received nearly as much rain as expected. School was canceled today as that line that is parked over the Lafayette area was supposed to park over LC area.

Got a pretty hefty downpour for about an hour straight in MB last night around 830-930. Woke up about midnight with a moderate rain but water had definitely decreased.

With the gages south of I-10 in Baton Rouge all still being 6 feet or so higher than normal (Bayou Fountain, Dawson Creek, Ward Creek, Bluff Swamp, Alligator Bayou), is this incoming rain today enough to GTFO for?

I way more worried about the wind. We have 3 more days of stiff wind from the ESE/E and all the water from the north is flowing this way.

This is our 3rd flood in as many months...from rain events.

This should be a BR centered rain event but we're not working with nearly the instability of Monday, which should keep rainfall rates from the ridiculous.

ETA: PWats are pretty high though, so training is the concern.
