Suspect in police shooting identified as Simba Lion

According to MSP officials, the suspect is 40-year-old Simba Lion. The names of the injured officers have not been released.

MSP Lt. Brian Oleksyk said during that fight, the maintenance man noticed the suspect had a gun on his hip. When police arrived on the scene and confronted Lion in an apartment hallway, he retreated back into his apartment. A short time later, Lion allegedly fired at officers, striking two of them. More officers arrived on scene and fire was returned at Lion, who was struck multiple times.
