Would you....

Take 10 Billion dollars tax free right now, but you die the day you turn 60?

All remaining money stays in your family when you die
No limitations on what you can spend it on

You get to drop everything and live like a king until your 60. Buy a plane, boat, travel the world, buy a team, whatever you want.

Would really suck if you're in great shape and perfectly healthy at 60, but that's the risk

If 60 is an easy answer, what age wouldnt be? 50?

Easily. Many people die before 60 and don’t have even close to that to show for it. I’d live life to the absolute fullest and know that I left my family in good hands.

No brainer.

Someone posed almost an identical question a few weeks ago, but the theoretical age was 40, which was much too young for almost everyone.

I think at 60 it’s almost a no brainer.

Better hypothetical is 50.

[Jabez Stone is examining Mr. Scratch's contract]

Jabez Stone: What does it mean here, about my soul?

Mr. Scratch: Why should that worry you? A soul? A soul is nothing. Can you see it, smell it, touch it? No. This soul, your soul, is nothing against seven years of good luck. You'll have money and all that money can buy.

I'm 40 so 60 doesn't sound that far off. Pass. Money isn't worth the potential lost time with my daughter and my family
