$563 for a 3200 sqft house with 2 adults and 1 baby. This is fricked up. We don’t even use much electricity.
—$125 in Houston, same size house, 2 story, 2 HVAC units. Reliant leveling bill.
The difference might be the age of your AC unit(s)?

That’s about what ours is for 3,300sf, but we currently have 5 people living here & 2 units. (One for the bedrooms and one for everything else. The air is “separated” by a hall door that stays closed so the dog doesn’t go in the back.) our condensers outside are over 20 years old. The handlers in the attic are around 10yrs old. We never put thermostats lower than 74 and that’s just at night. During the day they’re on 76 or 77 because it’s just me at home and I’m always cold.

I run at 78 until night then go to 72.
I'm going to switch to the time of use plan so the night time power will be half price.

$563 for that size house with 3 people means yes, you do use a frick ton of electricity
