If you're attractive enough, you can do anything.

I've had quite a few work out - mostly waitresses, though

This. The time this happened to me she clocked out and sat next to me at the bar. We dated for a year and a half.

You get much better results just being a normal person if you're a regular. If they're interested, they make it obvious during down times

Success story here. Moved up to Maine during the pandemic, didn’t know a soul, so would just go hang out at the local bar to watch games. Met a great girl who was bartending. In fairness, I didn’t really hit on her, vice versa, we just got to talking and hanging out.

not sure why the downvotes. he isn’t wrong.

as far as BabyTac goes. Maybe give him a big tip? You sound hopeless.

Use to travel for work often, had a coworker that would put his hotel key on the check instead of a credit card.

Waitress would say…”what’s this?”

“Oh, that’s my room key; here is my credit card, I’m at the Hilton room 204 if you want to keep that.”

Never worked and he did it all the time.

Nice cliffhanger baw.

So did she think you were gay? Did you marry her? She still in your life?

Yep. And it was only because I was very clearly not hitting on her while other dudes at this party were making lame attempts. She slipped me her number at the end of the night and then almost killed me and my buddy the next day but that’s another story.

In my younger days, I could never pick up a girl at a bar. I could, however, pick up a waitress (restaurant or bar).

My friends used to give me a bad time about it. It was odd that they were pretty good at picking up girls at bar, but would bomb out with a waitress.

A good looking waitress/bartender has heard it all.

When I bartended in college there were always success stories from workers and customers. Hell, I remember a girl “showing me the benefit package” when I had to duck under the bar and get out to restock liquor. I’d imagine it’s much easier in college towns/college bars but yes it can be done.
